Central Bank Former PTSB chief claims he is ‘being made a scapegoat’ as he hits out at Central Bank inquiry

On New Year’s Eve 2017, a registered letter was delivered to the home of David Guinane, the former chief executive of PTSB. The contents of the letter, sent by the Central Bank of Ireland, included a number of confidential documents which the regulator had seized from PTSB as part of its investigation into the tracker mortgage scandal.

This was the first time the Central Bank had contacted Guinane directly about his role in the bank ...
