Joe Worrall is yet to taste victory with loan club Besiktas and the future of his manager in Turkey, Fernando Santos, has been in the spotlight.
Santos was questioned on his future after the defeat to Antalyaspor, with Besiktas in fourth place in the league and miles behind top two Galatasaray and Fenerbahce, and he said: "The thought of resignation is not on my mind right now. The results have been poor in the last three matches, but I can say that the matches against Galatasaray and today were the best we have played since I arrived.
“We will build on our second-half performances. We will try to spread these performances to future matches. When you lose a match, the chance of finishing third becomes difficult, but we still have a chance. Santos also praised Worrall and the Besiktas players, refusing to criticise them, saying: "I never criticise my players. I never say anything about their performances.
