Manchester United could potentially benefit from the latest Premier League charges with the club linked with summer transfer interest in Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
The charge will now be heard by the independent commission, with a points deduction at the start of next season a possibility if they are promoted and found to have breached regulations. Leicester released a strong statement saying that it’s ‘surprised’ by the actions and will ‘defend itself from any unlawful acts by the football authorities.’
The midfielder was the subject of interest from Brighton back in the January window, but Leicester are said to have rejected a £20 million bid out of hand with the Foxes asking for a price of £45m. Leicester have previously shown that they will stick to their valuations when it comes to selling players. United know this after dealing with the club when signing Harry Maguire back in 2019, but the Premier League charges hanging over Leicester could help Erik ten Hag's side this time around.
