Meantime, the party, in collaboration with Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, is already shopping for members for the transition committee aimed at ensuring a smooth hand-over to Sanwo-Olu. The inauguration of the new administration will be held at Tafawa Balewa Square, TBS, Lagos on May 29, 2019.
Though, sources said the National Leader of APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu still holds the ace, Aregbesola was said to be in the forefront of the panel compiling the names. However, Tinubu who was said to have waded into the struggle, was said to have insisted that all interest groups must be accommodated especially, those who played significant roles in the emergence of Sanwo-Olu.
Sanwo-Olu, at the weekend, expressed appreciation to Lagosians for the support given to him during the just concluded governorship election, assuring that he would work assiduously to ensure that the state is taken to an enviable height.
