Everton plan to hold further talks with Leeds United over the future of Jack Harrison following the conclusion of the Championship season. Harrison has spent the 2023/24 campaign on loan at the Premier League club.
As well as confirming their plan for Harrison, the Toffees also announced yesterday that skipper Seamus Coleman and fellow full-back Ashley Young are to be offered new one-year contracts, and that an option to extend midfielder Idrissa Gueye’s deal until next summer has been triggered. Andre Gomes and Andy Lonergan will leave the club when their contracts expire at the end of June while Arnaut Danjuma is set to return to Villarreal at the end of his loan spell.
Attacking midfielder Dele Alli, whose present deal expires next month, will remain with the club while he continues his recovery from a long-standing groin problem. Everton’s director of football Kevin Thelwell said: “Everyone at the club thanks Andre and Andy for their service and contribution to Everton. Andre immersed himself in the Everton values after joining us from Barcelona in 2018 and, rightly, was a popular player with our fans.
