RobertFillies1 The problem is Councils keep getting the shortful from Council tax. But people are not getting the pay rises to match cost of living rises. This is what happens when you have a Tory Government that is out of touch with reality and every day people and what is really happening.

RobertFillies1 It is the failure of Tories. Tories made cuts to services, these decisions were made by Tory central Government. The cuts have lead to a shortful to run services correctly so Councils don't ask Central Government to fill the shortful, they get the missing amount from Council tax.

One solution that would help is if the government reintroduced Council Tax Benefit for those whose only income was benefits, and made it a national rather than local matter. I would hope that UKLabour jeremycorbyn would promise to do this if they won the next general election.

If councils stopped paying executives super high salaries and wasting money on stupid projects they wouldn’t have to charge such high amounts in the first place. Why are some paid more than the PM?

Stop raising it and paying for the fat cat counsellors pay rises.

It’s because it’s too much . No one can afford it on top of all there living expenses !?
