Joe Worrall returns to Nottingham Forest this summer fresh from helping loan club Besiktas to lift the Türkiye Kupasi in his final appearance of the season - and he has thanked the Turkish giants for the 'fantastic memories' which have been made.
The centre half was granted a loan move to Besiktas in the January transfer window, however, and he has spent the second half of this recently ended campaign on the other side of Europe; in all, Worrall made nine appearances, including from the bench in Besiktas' 3-2 Turkish Cup final win over Trabzonspor last week - a triumph which was secured in the 94th minute.
The 27-year-old only signed an extension of his existing contract back in September of last year, meaning he remains contracted to the City Ground until 2026, but it remains to be seen what role - if any - Nuno has for him ahead of next season and, one way or the other, Forest are left with a decision to make. Earlier in the season, Worrall admitted he didn't know what awaited him but he remained eager to continue playing for his boyhood club.
