Millions of dogs are abandoned by their owners every year in America, and many of them struggle to find a new home, especially those with disabilities.A disabled Great Pyrenees from Minnesota named Olaf has left the internet in tears after his foster mom revealed that he's struggling to get a new forever home because of his condition.

Around 920,000 surrendered animals are euthanized every year. Shelters are striving to minimize euthanasia rates by promoting adoption campaigns, spaying and neutering programs, and behavior rehabilitation.According to the ASPCA, of the 920,000 shelter animals euthanized every year, at least 390,000 are dogs and 530,000 are cats. Thanks to a rise in shelter adoptions, the number has declined from approximately 2.6 million in 2011.
