FAI chiefs explain reason for Delaney's €100,000 loan and why it was hidden from board members in letter to Oireachtas

FAI chiefs wrote to the Oireachtas sports committee this evening offering some answers to outstanding questions on the €100,000 Delaney loan.They apologised for their late replies, suggesting that they had a lot on their plates last night with Mr Delaney stepping aside and two other board members resigning.

Officials from Sport Ireland - and the Minister for Sport Shane Ross will be appearing before the committee tomorrow morning.
