The Department for Work and Pension's latest announcement outlines the payment dates for June 2024, signalling significant changes for Universal Credit claimants. As part of the DWP's "Back to Work" initiative, approximately 180,000 individuals will be encouraged to seek employment.
The new requirement mandates that claimants earn at least £829 per month, equating to 18 hours of work weekly at the national living wage. The upcoming payment schedule for June 2024 includes Attendance Allowance, which is disbursed every four weeks by the government. Payments for Employment and Support Allowance, Income Support, and Jobseeker's Allowance are generally made every two weeks. Maternity Allowance can be received bi-weekly or every four weeks, reports Birmingham Live.
