The Bears, missing a number of key regulars due to injury, had their streak of seven consecutive playoff wins snapped.Gaudet’s goal put the Monsters up 3-1 before Hershey forward Garrett Roe scored just 45 seconds later to make it a one-goal game.Cleveland then had to withstand an onslaught from the Bears, who peppered Monsters goalie Jet Greaves with 17 third-period shots and outshot Cleveland for the game, 35-31.
Frank, however, was not on the ice during the Bears’ strong push in the third period and Nelson did confirm after the game that Frank is dealing with an injury.
