The former chairman of Stark Corp., a Thai industrial cable maker at the center of an accounting scandal and debt defaults, was brought back to Thailand after months on the run, ending a chase for the country’s most wanted corporate fugitive.

KOTA BHARU: The Malaysian and Thai police will work together to track down a smuggler who fired three shots at Kelantan Customs Department officers who were on duty in an enforcement operation to combat petrol and diesel smuggling near the Pok Mat illegal base in Kampung Simpangan, Tumpat.

He said police are currently carrying out a detailed investigation on the shooting on Wednesday as it involves relations between two countries. Muhamad Zaki said to strengthen border control, the General Operations Force had been instructed to tighten security control of the Malaysia-Thailand border.
