Very dangerous heat & humidity expected.Police have released new videos showing three persons of interest and are seeking the public's help to identify them in connection with the unsolved September 2022 fatal stabbing of D'Andre Isaiah Day in downtown Austin. It happened Sunday, Sept. 4, near the intersection of 7th and Colorado streets.
Detectives have identified three persons of interest in newly released video footage. The first is described as a white male with a skinny build and long blonde hair. The second is a male with a skinny build, short height, and black hair with apparent blonde highlights. The third is described as a Black male with possible dreadlocks.
Police are also seeking information about a silver 2003-2005 Honda Accord believed to be connected to the case. "Based on the information obtained in this case, it appears to be isolated with no threat to the public," the Austin Police Department said in a statement. However, investigators have exhausted all leads and are turning to the public for assistance.
A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest. Anyone with information or video of the incident is urged to contact APD Homicide at 512-974-TIPS.
