MANILA, Philippines — Eight companies have expressed interest in the 15-year power supply agreement for Manila Electric Co.’s 600 megawatts of baseload supply.

The TOR, pursuant to the agency’s advisory dated Oct. 11, 2023, strongly encourages power suppliers with natural gas-fired power plants to join the bidding and prioritize the use of indigenous natural gas.Just last week, Meralco launched the bidding for 400 MW of mid-merit PSA for 15 years, starting Aug. 26, 2025.
