Eleven states - Alabama, Alaska, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Montana, Nebraska, South Carolina, Texas, and Utah - filed the first lawsuit in late March. Another group of seven states - Missouri, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, North Dakota, Ohio and Oklahoma - filed one soon after.A federal judge in each state approved partial preliminary injunctions on Monday.The SAVE program has canceled $5.5 billion in debt for more than 414,000 people.
