Preston announced: “We can confirm Alan Browne has informed the club he will not be accepting the offer of a three-year extension to his existing contract. “Consistently playing around 40 games a season, it wasn’t long before he cemented his name even further into the history books, as in January 2024 he joined only 12 other players in making 400 appearances.
“It’s been a decade of highs and lows, and Alan has been there for all of them, and he now leaves with the best wishes of everyone at Preston North End.”
