Former Edo State House of Assembly aspirant in Etsako East Local Government, Ilugbekhai Inwomoh, has urged people of Edo State to vote Dr Asue Ighodalo, who he described as another Obafemi Awolowo in the September 21 governorship election in Edo State.
Ilugbehai, who is a member of The Advisory Council in the PDP Campaign Council, described Ighodalo as a modern Awolowo, who will project public interest above personal aggrandizement. He said: “When Awolowo was alive, he lived and dreamed of people’s welfare and development. The western region was a pacesetter under him. Just as Edo is currently a pacesetter in Nigeria in terms of development, security and highest salary for civil servants under Governor Godwin Obaseki in PDP administration when other opposition states and the federal government are still struggling to pay what Edo government is paying with ease.
“The secret of Awolowo’s effective leadership was his exposure and knowledge. That is why we need an exposed candidate like Dr. Asue Ighodalo who is well educated and connected. A vote for PDP is a vote for a rebranded Edo State. If our dreams of becoming a pace-setter to a new Nigeria then we need best hands for the job Asue Ighodalo and Osarodion Ogie are the two men that knows the way.”
