Marcelo Pitaluga has returned to Liverpool after his loan move to St. Pat’s Athletic was ended prematurely.
As a result, it's believed the decision for Pitaluga to return to Liverpool has been a mutual one made in response to his limited game-time. And with a number of changes behind the scenes in the Reds goalkeeping department this summer, following the departures of John Achterberg and Jack Robinson, it has been acknowledged that it would be beneficial for the Brazilian to work under incoming head of first team goalkeeper coaching Fabian Otte this summer.
“And Alfie has gone back to Hull. Joe Anang trains with us from Monday and I'm hopeful of having one in next week, but we'll have to see.” Meanwhile, Caoimhin Kelleher faces an uncertain future with the 25-year-old previously admitting he is ready to pursue first team football elsewhere. Should the Republic of Ireland international also leave the club, it will leave Vitezslav Jaros, who enjoyed a successful loan switch to Sturm Graz during the second half of last season, as Liverpool’s next most senior goalkeeper.
