The scheme would include a 'modified' version of the scheduled salary deduction mechanism that received much backlash last year.

“After the government changed its mind, my team and I held roundtable discussions from December to March. That was the first phase.

“We want this paper to be presented and later summarised after the rakyat has given their feedback on it whether by openly airing their views, criticism, demonstrations, or other ways,” Wan Saiful said. Wan Saiful did not set a deadline for the public consultation period but said that the proposal was almost ready.

PTPTN needs a total revamp of its programs, missions, and management team. New mgmt should look at innovative ways to leverage, hedge, and invest their funds to generate more funds on their own rather than totally depending on government funds & student loan repayments.
