Govt sets aside RM550 million to offer low-interest loans to oil palm smallholders

THE government announced today a RM500 million fund to disburse soft loans with low interest rates to smallholders to replant oil palms. Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng said that in addition, a RM50 million fund is also provided to offer low-interest loans to finance palm oil inputs and materials with the use of registered seeds and the latest breeds of quality
