Some candidates are more aggressive than others in terms of going after lenders and loan servicers, too.Elizabeth Warren was a college professor before she got elected to the Senate, where she’s on the Senate Education Committee. She helped create the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau , which used to be one of the strongest advocates for student borrowers against unsavory lender and servicer practices.
