Tok Pa explains rise in national debt to RM1.09 trillion last year

THE national debt rose to RM1.09 trillion last year from RM1.08 trillion in 2017 based on accrual accounting, said Mustapa Mohamed. The Special Select Committee on the Budget chairman said the amount comprised federal government debt , debt guaranteed by the federal government and 1Malaysia Development Bhd’s net debt .
