Just as a reporter got her robocalls under control, she got hit by its evil sibling: the spam robotext

The first text came through shortly before 7 a.m. Then another 15 minutes later. And at around 11:30 a.m. And at 12:10 p.m.

In a mere 30 hours, I’d qualified for a credit consultation, won some kind of contest, scored part-time flexible work and was alerted to the existence of a three-bedroom apartment I could own for $429 a month.

Lawsuit companies

Those have been around for at least the past year or two. I just block each number that does it.

I keep a cheap cell that I usw when people, companies etc that aren't important ask for my number. I check messages every once in a while to see if anything interests me. Only people I want to hear from get my real number.

robotexts should be considered an act of war. Shock and awe is the only correct response!!
