Pekan Nanas assemblyman Yeo Tung Siong told the crowd at Penerok here that there was a conflict of interest between Barisan Nasional candidate Wee Jeck Seng and TCSens Sdn Bhd, which reportedly obtained RM150 million worth of government projects without open tender. “Such action is wrong. He cannot deny the conflict was there,” he said, adding that Wee should explain if he ever received profits from the company.The VEP is a permit issued by the Road Transport Department allowing the entry of foreign vehicles into Malaysia. RC, meanwhile, is a RM20 fee imposed on all foreign-registered private vehicles which enter Malaysia, excluding motorcycles.
The audit report also said the VEP system had failed to recognise the plate numbers of 0.07% of vehicles, leading to RM17,100 in losses.
