Sky News host Peta Credlin says the Greens' rhetoric surrounding the bushfire crisis shows the party is "much better at giving lectures than at lending a hand". It comes as Greens Senator Larissa Waters is distancing herself from comments made by an anti-domestic violence campaigner who claimed men returning from fighting bushfires were more likely to abuse their partners.
"How many green activists have you noticed lately on fire crews or making sandwiches in CWA halls to keep volunteer fire-fighters in the field? Not too many, I bet," she said. Ms Credlin said "if they were actually serious here", the lights would go off and "they would let their mobile phones run out of charge" since they claim to be against fossil fuels.
CREDLIN any chance of sharing where you got the notion that no Green is out there fighting these disastrous fires? Is the your RetailPolitic thing happening again CredlinsCarbonTaxFib
