My partner is moving in and we're planning to share our mortgage

Q My partner is about to move in with me and is contributing £10,000 from the sale of his flat. I however already have a hefty equity of around £210,000. The property is worth around £330,000.

Trying hard to make the most bourgeois of arrangements seem novel and progressive. There’s more dignity in marriage.

Don't do it !!!

My advice: Either get married or live apart. If you are ready to commit to sharing a mortgage, you should be ready to commit to marriage. If not, you should live apart. Speaking from experience.
