“The Lakers qualified for and received a loan under the Payroll Protection Program. However, once we found out the funds from the program had been depleted, we repaid the loan so that financial support would be directed to those most in need.'

Other companies such as Shake Shack, Ruth’s Hospitality, Potbelly and Sweetgreen said they planned to return money received from the program.

With the government getting ready to disperse an additional $300 million to small businesses as part of the Paycheck Protection Program, new guidance likely prohibits certain companies from applying. “Borrowers must make this certification in good faith, taking into account their current business activity and their ability to access other sources of liquidity sufficient to support their ongoing operations in a manner that is not significantly detrimental to the business,” the U.S. Department of the Treasury said in a FAQ.

Couldn't they just have borrowed that from Lebron

Exempted

Good professional sports should have been exem

The so-called 'leaders' of this nation are immoral, cold-hearted and clueless. The citizens - 26 million- are newly jobless, hungry and penniless but they gave/ allowed billion dollar companies to get aid. And, sent the people in need $1,200 to last during a pandemic.

Nobody needs the money. You were taught this in school: Air, Water, shelter, food, clothing. That's it.

The Lakers are one of the most valuable sports franchises in the World. Unbelievable.

Why apply?

embarrassing...

Why would a multibillion dollar company even fill out the paperwork to get the money I have now lost all respect for you

It's not a secret it's a science!(STREAMING GLOBALLY)

Over paid ....overrated

So noble... professional sports are dumb
