Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell says we can expect to see changes to the government's JobMaker Hiring Credit scheme in the May budget.

"With JobKeeper not yet coming off, there has been low takeup of the scheme, announced in the October budget, which sees employers eligible to receive $200 a week for hiring a new employee aged 16-29 and $100 a week for hiring employees aged 30 to 35," Mr Clennell said. "There have been 14,000 approaches by employers and just a few hundred businesses take up the scheme so far. "In the budget, the scheme might drop its age restriction and the subsidies might change.
