Sudbury Credit Union donates a total of $12,500

Credit unions around the world celebrated the credit union movement’s history, promoted its achievements and raised awareness about the work that credit unions and other financial cooperatives are doing in their communities.

This year, the theme for International Credit Union Day was member empowerment, celebrating the ways that credit unions support and help their members to take control of their financial well-being. In honour of International Credit Union Day, and to celebrate the community-minded spirit of credit unions, Sudbury Credit Union made a total of $12,500 in donations to five local organizations whose work supports and enriches our community.

Sudbury Credit Union provided donations of $2,500 to each of the following organizations: Sudbury Indie Cinema, Better Beginnings Better Futures – Good Food Project, Sudbury Rainbow Crime Stoppers, Inner City Home of Sudbury and Sudbury Food Bank.
