REUTERS/Kevin Lamarque/File PhotoWASHINGTON, Jan 29 - House of Representatives Speaker Kevin McCarthy on Sunday said he will meet with President Joe Biden on Wednesday to discuss raising the federal debt ceiling while controlling government spending, adding that Republicans will not allow a U.S. default.
"I know the president said he didn't want to have any discussions" on cuts, McCarthy said. "I want to find a reasonable and a responsible way that we can lift the debt ceiling take control of this runaway spending."to avoid breaching the $31.4 trillion limit on federal debt imposed by Congress.
White House spokesman Andrew Bates said that McCarthy's pledge to strengthen the programs would lead to cuts.
So basically we borrowed money we don't have to give 100+ Billion dollars to Ukraine just on the off chance we end up starting WW3 nuclear armaggedon ? THIS IS CRAZY!

When Republicans agree to add raising taxes on the wealthiest people/corporations and providing funding for IRS to collect taxes from deadbeats then we should sit down and talk.
