- General Motors Co on Thursday said it has no plan to cut the sticker price on its electric Chevrolet Bolt sedan after a federal tax credit drops by half to $3,750 on Monday.

GM has laid out an aggressive electric vehicle strategy, vowing to bring at least 20 EV models to market by 2023. Tesla aggressively urged buyers to take advantage of the full credit shortly before it expired. “Reminder to US buyers that the $7500 tax credit cuts in half in 5 days!” Chief Executive Elon Musk tweeted in December.

GM will offer new incentives next week for EVs as the current monthly incentives expire, the company said.

You get what you pay for. The Bolt is a very solid vehicle and GM needs to at least make a small profit off of each sale so as to be able to build on the program of transition to EV's.

They don't produce very much in the US anymore let them sell their crap in Mexico !

They only produce it to fulfill their 0 emission obligation in CA...they don't want anyone to actually buy them.

They don’t need to cut the sticker bc the sticker is a bogus price and not the end customers actual purchase price. There’s piles of manufacturer incentives and dealer holdback. Tesla is direct to consumer so they change the sticker price bc that’s the price.
