The Christian Association of Nigeria has urged the newly-elected members of the National Assembly to ensure that religious balance is reflected in the leadership of the two legislative chambers.
“We, from CAN recognise the importance of the National Assembly to the stability and growth of our polity. It is in this regard that we call for ethnic and religious balance with depth in picking the leadership of that great institution of democracy.” “Today, both the President and the acting CJN are Muslims and our appeal is to let either the Senate President or the Speaker be a Christian to address the religious dichotomy. This will give all Nigerians a sense of belonging irrespective of their religious affiliations.
Muslim or Christian, We are all Nigeria.
CAN don't expose Nigerians to religious crisis , nobody cares if it's a pagan , Muslim or Christian we only need credible leaders . When it don't go your way u introduce religion
This bunch of hopeless people who carry the name of God around pretending to be men of God, while they are devils in the inside.
When has the leadership of National Assembly become religiously tainted? Presiding over the legislature is not a thing for religious tolerance. Please!
They are mad, useless fake Christian leaders who uses religion to cover their dirty ways, I know hadn't be they invited them for dinner where they will take envelope home they will gladly accept
Wetin concern agbero for overload we beg o !!!? They should register a political party and push for their choices and stop heating up the polity seeking relevance and maybe patronage.
Very soon we will read CAN supports...............
Prosperity preaching and a belief in ‘I receive’ without tangible investment, has denied many the ability to be relevant in politics & good governance. Conscience & holiness are being eroded by the muddy water of bitter politics. Now a voiceless CAN is drawing needles attention
CAN as a body no longer represent me as a christian. The plot by Buhari and his gang to continue islamisation/Fulani domination should be resisted by Christians. No one should hope on these religeous entrepreneurs. They only care about a poor man's money
And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to king Jehoshaphat, Shouldest thou help the ungodly, and love them that hate the LORD? therefore is wrath upon thee from before the LORD. -2 Chronicles 19:2
Bcoz you have already failed Christianity. Barely Few hours you was under pressure to congratulate Buhari came about your meaningless congratulations message to him what a shame? Just make it open how much exactly money you want this time we all know your plans
CAN of worm, they should just declare themselves as a party no Religious Organization, they were just disgracing Christians
CAN of worms
Whoever couldn't understand that this gang of riff raffs calling itself CAN is just a useless political venture then he/she needs medical attention.
SMH.
Mad dogs
WHY RELIGION AGAIN? CAN, YOU DON'T HAVE POWER OVER THAT. PLEASE.
Businessmen
Rubbish....when Christians held the two seats at the same time, what did they say?
