Former Victorian Liberal Party president Michael Kroger says the Liberals need to challenge the incorrect perception it is a party of spending cuts.

Mr Kroger says Labor voters have been taught ‘there is a money tree out there’, thanks to the left-wing party rarely talking about debt and deficit and ‘not being committed to a surplus’.

The latest Newspoll shows only four per cent of Labor voters believe delivering a surplus is the top priority for the budget, while 71 per cent see spending on services and income tax cuts as most important.

I don't vote Liberal because they tried to take my pension away. Why would anybody less well-off want to vote for a party which takes things away and creates a lower standard of living? It would be like a chicken voting for Colonel Sanders.

That’s not like a labor supporter at all. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Let me think; Cut immigration cut education spending Cut taxes Cut assistance to the poor Cut assistance to elderly Cut spending on housing

Yeah get CampbellNewman to spread that message Kroger. He cut things in Qld so bad they have never recovered. Promised no job losses and cut thousands even essential staff like nurses. The system now struggles to cope. That's the LIBERAL PARTY people. And wage cuts.
