Porter Airlines, founded in 2006, now runs short-haul flights to 30 destinations via 50 aircrafts.

QIC’s infrastructure private debt team is hitching a ride on State Street’s North American airline business Porter Aviation Holdings, as it eyes new flying routes across the region.

QIC is understood to have closed a $US166 million loan to a subsidiary of Porter Aviation Holdings Inc, acting as the lead arranger and splitting the investment across the various funds managed by its Evan Nahnsen-led infrastructure private debt business.
