MLB Raleigh’s motivation began with identifying tangible metrics that supported the community’s enthusiasm for baseball. The quest to obtain meaningful data started with one simple question:The Triangle covers the cities of Chapel Hill, Durham, and Raleigh. Foose, Gadd, and Pascucci have studied growth and population trends through various statistics, surveys, and census reports.
Besides collecting data, organizing community events, and researching potential stadium locations, MLB Raleigh wants to have a positive influence on youth baseball. They are currently involved in revitalizing a baseball field for the Boys & Girls Club of Raleigh. A group of meager means, MLB Raleigh donates profits from their merchandise sales and events to help support this noble cause.
Is there another city willing to join to make it 32 teams?
