Give some space to loan defaulters, PKR president tells PTPTN

PTPTN will be conducting an online survey, from May 16 to June 13, to obtain feedback on ideas to improve PTPTN’s loan sustainability.

The Port Dickson MP was responding to PTPTN chairman Wan Saiful Wan Jan’s statement earlier today, indicating that he may propose to reintroduce the travel ban for defaulters if the people are in favour of it. “I agree with the people contributing views . But I hope these views will result in a decision that won’t put too much pressure on defaulters,” he told reporters after a breaking-of-fast event with several Muslim NGOs.

Anwar added that while he supports the will of the people, he is of the view that they will not agree with harsh actions.

Agreed. Neither is travel ban headlines. Work out a fair repayment scheme based on income and implement it. Deductions from salary. So those not working will not be burden. Ridiculous that we still debating this matter. Act!

DSAI, if tat so, please work harder & find job for them. Meanwhile, put in place the restriction to fly. If they can afford a RM80/ ticket to fly, why not pay off some loan at only RM50/- a month? Don' t be soft. Our youths will not learn by pampering them.

Those unemployed r always gven opportunity 2 discuss & reschedule repymnt. What irks d ppl r their ability 2 travel abroad & sustain a lifestyle that does not show they r in a dire staye.

Our own cabinet This was promised by PH during GE14 so that people will vote for PH. Now PH is already the govt but this promise yet to be filfilled.
