Median wages still languishing £20 a week below pre-financial crash levels, according to ONS

Household debt soared by a third to record levels in the past decade as workers struggled to cope with the impact of a prolonged squeeze on wages, a new report has said.

Back in Jan the TUC reported it was at £15,400. So this article is good news right? Everyone is better off - over £1,000 in just 9 months. Or have I missed a technicality?

9 years of incompetent Tory government will do that : Rising inequality, no social mobility, increase in mortality, massive increase in food banks, homelessness etc etc. All the depressing statistics.

Well they need 2 stop smoking, drinking, having dogs, going on holiday, paying for sky, having more kids & having their nails done. It's called prioritise their finances better & most people in the country don't. In my opinion good financial planning should be taught at schools.

That include mortgages because that doesnt seem like much if it does.
